Learning how to butter on a snowboard is a great way to improve balance and style on your board. For those of you that don’t know, buttering on a snowboard is when you balance on one edge/end of the board while maintaining your other end off the snow. If done correctly, it should look like you are using your board as a knife and the snow is being buttered, hence the reference to butter. When people want to learn how to do snowboarding tricks, this one is usually at the top of the list.
Nev Lapwood and crew do a great job of walking you through every aspect of buttering. It is a great addition to your snowboard style arsenal and can really help you with your balance. Buttering is all about body positioning and where you place your weight! Learning how to butter a snowboard is fun and can take your riding to the next level.
